I was breathing in the plastic in my cubicle monastic,
80’s classics on the Muzak, felt a need for action drastic.

Finally payday came on Thursday, cashed my cheque but to my dismay
Exponential interest decay left me flat as sitcom soufflé.

At home I get more undermined: eviction and a parking fine
Repo men in an econoline even took my shitty homemade wine

All I have left is a vespa given to me by my grandpa,
a threadbare midway panda, and a puffer for my asthma.

I’ll end up under overpasses, life will pass me over
I’ll camp under the L E D’s and grow a beard down past my knees.

Planting rows and rows of oak trees under hydro lines and guy wires,
and sabotage the trestle bridge and wait to see what does transpire.
